What is Ceroc / Club Jive?

Ceroc / Club Jive is based on Rock & Roll which was first introduced into

France by the American GI's at the end of the Second World War.

Once Europeans commenced to dance 'Disco' and separate from their partners, the French continued to partner dance and developed their own less structured style.

In the early 80's the style crossed the channel and was taken up in London, from there it has spread around the globe. Ceroc / Modern Jive has continued to develop it's own unique style blending Latin, Jive, Salsa, Rock and Roll, Funk and Dirty Dancing together to create a fun, adaptable dance that can be danced to all the great hits of the last 100 years!!

In 1991 Nicky Haslam brought the dance style Ceroc / Modern Jive to Australia from England and the unique, sensual and exciting Aussie Ceroc style is recognised across the Ceroc Modern Jive World.

For many dancers Ceroc / Modern Jive has released the shackles of couples dancing, developing an exciting new expressive style for today, where you can adapt your current styles and dance anywhere (i.e. pubs, clubs, weddings and parties).

When do the next beginner classes commence?

Every class is suitable for your first night of dancing!!!

Due to today's busy lifestyle, we don't lock you into block courses so you can pay as you go & begin classes on any night. This allows you to change the night you attend from week to week, you can attend classes up to three times a week or as little as once a month. Obviously the more often you attend the quicker you will learn.

Each night you will learn 3 Beginner level moves, one of which is a revision from the previous week. You will receive 2 classes plus social dance time every night no matter what level dancer you are.

We accommodate for all levels of dancers every night.
